Peder Christensen #1 Family
Jutland peninsula, Denmark

I'm not certain of the connections here and I need some help. There are some 20+ individuals recorded in the LDS files between 1705 and 1720 for what looks like different Peder Christensens in Ringkobing amt. There are also just as many or more Christen Pedersen.  This is madness.

The research here was done by Cora Christofferson from Danish church records.  Since Denmark was one of the last areas of Europe to adopt Catholicism, the records of births and death are limited only to the time beginning with these church records.  These churches later became Lutheran. Most of these records are maintained in local archives and were microfilmed by the LDS. We still have an incomplete history of this family and I look forward to information that can complete the lists of the children.

I can't identify which individual may be our ancestor from available records.  There are two Johanne Jensdatters of approximately the correct age and in the correct region.   I look forward to some finding proof of one or the other as our family member.  Records are missing in some of the areas for the years we need and the available records are extremely difficult to read.  Consequently we are just guessing here and hope that someone has a different kind of record to fill in the gaps.

1769- Census for Ringkoebing county.  No age for the family head is given although the other family members are listed.

1740 Jan 10 - married on 14th Feb.   Christen Pedersen is married in Nørre Nissum church, Ringkøbing, Denmark. His bride is listed as Ann Jensdatter of Falborg.  This marriage is not possible if he was born only in 1733.   Something is wrong in combination of records.
