John Harrison came to the colonies with his sister, Rebecca Harrison
Terry, wife of Thomas Terry. Rebecca died of Yellow Fever on the
journey across South Carolina along with one or two of her
children. John survives to bring the remaining
children. Thomas Terry travels to Charleston sometime after
this on business
and meets Nancy Ann McDowell whom he later marries. Apparently John
Harrison travels with Thomas and some point and meets another McDowell
sister, Susannah McDowell. Susan and Ann are indentified in the
will of her brother, John McDowell, a merchant of Charleston whose will
helps to prove the relationships.
