Abt 1586 England- Thomas Sherwood is Christened.

The records that are used to define this family are very confusing and have great discrepencies. The LDS files which are used by the bulk of the researchers list the Christening date before he was born, I have reversed these dates to make more sense but I have not seen the actual records to verify the facts. Some list Thomas with as many as four wives but the marriage and birth orders don't fit the possible dates.

1634- Thomas Sherwood takes a ship with his wife to the colonies from Ipswich, England on the ship Francis.

Ipswich- A note of the names and ages of all the Passengers which took shippinge in the Ffrancis of Ipswich, Mr John Cutting bound for new England the last of Aprill, 1634.

1655, Oct 25 - Thomas Sherwood's will is probated in Fairfield, CT. His buried Fairfield, Fairfield, Ct.

Will 21 July 1655, proved 25 October 1655; Children by former wife Alice, Thomas, Jane, Tamsen, Margaret, Sarah Hannah, Rose, Rebecca: Wife Mary, and children by her, Stephen, Matthew, Mary, Ruth, Abigail, Isaac. Fairfield Deeds mention 18 January 1658 that "John Banks hath married Mary Sherwood the relict."
