He apparently
brings most of the family with him and may have come to Seattle with

1933, Nov 8th- John and Edna Richardson take a trip to
Hawaii on the R. M. S. "Niagara" from Vancouver, B. C. . In this
record they give the dates of birth as well as their address being
Route 3, Box 106, Tacoma, Washington. They arrive in in Honolulu,
on November 14th, 1933. [US Immigration form]
1934, Nov. 7th - S.S. R. M. M. S. "Aorangi" sailing from
Vancouver, B. C. departs for Honolulu T. H. arriv. Nov. 14th, 1934
[US passenger list. ]

1943, Oct 12 - Edna M. Richardson enlists "for the duration of the war
plus six months" in the Women's Army Corps in Seattle. She
indicates that her civil occupations were "barbers, beauticians and
manicurists. She also states that she is a "widower or widow
without dependents". [US World War II Enlistment records]
1971 - the following was probably from an obituary in Seattle.,
"Mrs. Gustave (Marie) Kiesel , 98, a
Washington pioneer and former resident of Tacoma, died Friday in
Seattle. She was born in Germany moved to Tacoma until 1942, when
she moved to Seattle, Mrs. Kiesel was a member of the Lutheran
Church. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs Anna Hail, and Mrs.
Ella Butler, both of the family home in Seattle, two
grandchildren, and two children, and two great-grandchildren.
