James Biddlecombe or Bedlecomb witnessed a codicil to a Last Will and Testament of George Ludlowe in York County, Virginia dated December of 1655. He had to have been over 21 years at this date. He most likely was born in England before 1634.
1659/60 He witnessed a deed for a land sale of Will Thatcher on
January 20 in Lancaster Co., Va. to Arthur Clarke of 200 acres.

He witnessed two other deeds in 1660 both for John Edwards.
1687- James Bedlecomb lived in the area of North Farnham Parish in
Richmond Co., VA. (then Old Rappahanock Co.) A notation was made that
James Biddlecombe was dead by Aug 30, 1687.
1689 - A document is signed by James Biddlecomb Jr and James Tarpley
for land previously owned by James Biddlecomb Sr.

Mary Brassieur Biddlecombe marries for a second time to Samuel Peachey after 1690. He dies in 1713 and she becomes executor of his estate.
1713- Mary Biddecombe Peachey dictated a last Will and Testament to
Captain John Tarpley in May 1713. In this will she named her
granddaughter Mary and Elizabeth Tarpley, her daughter Mary Tarpley, to
whom she gave half her property. The other half went to James
Biddlecomb and Elizabeth Jones' children. She identified Elizabeth as
her daughter. Presented by Mrs. Mary Tarpley, and proved by John
Tarpley, gent., who wrote the will by Mrs. Peachey's direction.

Will of Mary Peachy
In the name of God Amen I Mary Peachey being sick and weak of body but
of perfect mind and memory do make and ordaine this to be my last will
and testament in manner and forme following-
I bequeath my
soul to God who gave it in sure and cert in hope to eternal life
through the merritts of Saviour Jesus Christ and body to the earth
decently to be buryed at the discretion of my executors hereafter named.
I give to my
Granddaughter Mary Tarpley my best bed and furniture whereon I now lie.
I give to my
granddaughter Elizabeth Tarpley one young cow and calfe.
I give to my
daughter Mary Tarpley my Great Bible.
I give one half
of the remainder of my estate to be equally divided among my daughter
Mary Tarpley and her children that now is.
I give the other
half of residue of my estate to be equally divided between James
Biddlecomb's children and my daugher Eliz. Jones's children, and make
and ordain to be my whole and sole exor of this my last will and
testament in Wittness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seale
this day of May Signed 1713 sealed and published in the presence of us
Septemb.
