The research here was done by Cora Christofferson from Danish church records.  Since Denmark was one of the last areas of Europe to adopt Catholicism, the records of births and death are limited only to the time beginning with these church records.  These churches later became Lutheran. Most of these records are maintained in local archives and were microfilmed by the LDS. We still have an incomplete history of this family and I look forward to information that can complete the lists of the children.

1792 - Peder Christensen Hyldgaard is confirmed in Nørre Nissum parish at age 17 in Nørre Nissum parish, Ringkobing.  Dan. Fam. Search p.99]

1801 - Ane Johanne Jensdatter Sandholm is confirmed at age 17 in Nørre Nissum parish, Ringkobing.  [Dan. Fam. Search p.100]

1810, Feb 16 -  There is a marriage recorded for  Ane Johanne Jendatter Splind to Peder Kristensen Tveed in Norre Nissum, Ringkøbing county, Denmark.   We take "Splind" and "Tveed" to be towns or farms.  Sometimes we see "Tveed" as Tweed.   [LDS mar. rec.]

1810, Apr 29 - We have a christening record of Inger Marie Pedersen, the parents being Peder Kristensen Tveed and Ane Johanne Jensdatter in Norre Nissum, Ringkøbing, Denmark.  [LDS christening rec.]

1811, Oct 16 - We have a christening record of Kristen Pedersen, child (I believe a son) to Peder Kristensen Tveed and Ane Johanne Jensdatter in Norre Nissum, Ringkøbing, Denmark. [LDS christening rec.]

1813, Jul 24 - We have a christening record of Ane Magrete Pedersen, the parents being Peder Kristensen Tveed and Ane Johanne Jensdatter in Norre Nissum, Ringkøbing, Denmark.  [LDS christening rec.]


1834 Census in Ringkøbing county shows Peder and Ane with two children, Laust and Ane Margrethe.   Ane Margrethe may have
 married by 1839 and had a child which shows up in the 1840 and 1845 census.  I suspect the mother died in childbirth.  Peder's occupation is listed here as a "small landowner and day laborer".

1840 Census shows Peder and Ane without their two sons.   They may be working at another farm.   They also seem to have the young adopted girl with them that shows up in the 1845 census.  I have no idea who this child may have belonged to at this time.   Peder is a "small landowner and day laborer".

1845 Census shows Peder and Ane with their two sons, Jens and Laurits.  I don't know who the three year old belongs to but she appears to be adopted.
