The family developed is based on the the genealogy of the Roskilde Cathedral, Roskilde, Denmark.  This cathedral is one of the oldest in Denmark and is the burial place of the largest number of king, queens and other nobililty in all of Europe including Harold Bluetooth, one of the greatest kings of Denmark.

It seems that Anders Nielsen Due becomes a knight in the court of King Christoffer of Sweden.  He apparently ends up with a major estate in Sweden. I suspect that some his real estate holdings and comes after the out break of The Black Death or plague in Scandinavia in 1349. It was said between 1349 and 1350 to have killed  33% to 66% of the people of Denmark while Norway and Sweden were both affected.  As even a surviving petty nobleman of the time he was probably depended upon to keep things going. Being appointed a "Land Judge" after the death of so many would have been a very valuable position of power and wealth.

Cecilia Jensdater Galen came from another wealthy family in Skaneland.  Her brother Peder Jensen Galen became Arch-bishop in Lund, Skåneland.

These families have records and the family crests are found in the Roskilde Cathedral web site and go back to about 1310.
