Our
ancestor debate
perhaps may lead us to Edward
Hollaway but facts are lacking to date

Another thing, Edward Jr. married Katharine Taylor, dtr of Thomas Taylor -- she dies 1758 or thereabouts. And look who Edward, Jr and Charles and John deed this land to? to John Goodwyn in Surry, that's who! Now in Waters' Genealogical gleanings in England (2 v.) is considerable stuff about a Mary Goodwyn who marries a Holloway in East Bergholt, Suffolk, and dies in 1631, and has a sister Susan Bacon who is possibly the wife of Nathaniel Bacon -- Bacon's Rebellion, yet. Two centuries later in Dinwiddie Co, Va, Edw & Eliz Holloway sell 100 acres to James Goodwyn!
So, what I think is unmistakable: There's a "cluster" of families who're connected with our Holloways and with each other, for several generations. So far -- Taylors, Goodwyns, Whites, later, perhaps beginning in America in the later 1700's, Holloways & Lovings -- they're another case where possibly the line can be tentatively hypothesized through a clustering of Taliaferros, Lomaxes & Lunsfords"
