The research here was done by Cora Christofferson from Danish church
records. Since Denmark was one of the last areas of europe to
adopt Catholicism, the records of births and death are limited only to
the
time
beginning with these church records. These churches later became
Lutheran. Most of these records are maintained in local archives and
were
microfilmed by the LDS. We still have an incomplete history of this
family
and I look forward to information that can complete the lists of the
children.
I don't know how accurate the record of this family may be.
I found that there is a marriage of Christen Knudsen and Bodell
Madsdatter on 18 Oct 1646 in Siem, Aalborg, Denmark.
[LDS marriages] This is the wrong age for what we have above and
she could not have been the mother of Birgitte if she was born as
indicated. These names are unusual, expecially when in
combination like this.
