There are many fewer records available at these early dates.   Some of the churches were burned and other records damaged in storage.  There is also great confusion with names due to the multiple use of the same name in the same region and time period.  Niels Olsen seems in the following census to be a farmer while his supposed father-in-law, Ole Olsen is a woodsman or forest worker. 
Elie/Eli Olsdatter is sometimes confused with Else Olsdatter thus giving a different line of ancestors. 

1752 June 11-  Baptism records of Løten church show Niel with his parents Ole Nielsen Aadalen and Marthe Halvorsdatter while living at Aadalen farm.  God parents or witnesses are Peder Johansen Trosthoel and fra Anne, Ole Bierske and Marthe Evensdatter, Kari Olsdatter Aadalen.

1767 Oct 11 - Niel Olsen of Aadalen is confirmed along with about 24 men others in Løten at the age of 15.  page 238

1767 Nov 15-  Eli Olsdatter is baptized in Stange parish to Ole Pedersen of Grønstad and Ingebor Rasmusdatter. God parents seem to be Simen Simensen , Kield Ericksen and Ingebor Simensdatter  [Norway Nat. Archive. 1762-87 Stange, Hedmark, p28]

1789 - Feb 11 - Niels Olsen of Aadahlen "copuleret" (marries) "pignn" (girl,maid) Elie Olsdatter of Stor Bryni or Cryric(perhaps Grujic) in Romedal parish.   [Nor. Archives, copy, Hedmark, Romedal parish 1785-1794, page 112  ]

1790 Feb 14 - Marte Nilsdatter is born to Niels Olsen Aadahlen and Eli Olsdatter.  

The Aadhalen farm had several spellings over the years. Here are other variations taken from the book of farms in Løten.

Look for Oudalen under Leuthen on the 1862 map.  Nearby is Engelhoug farm where Edvard Munch was born. 

1801 - Norway Census of Løten prestegjeld (Løten parish) Hedmark.  It shows Marte or Marthe Nilsdatter in the family with her father Nils Olsen and her mother Elie Olsdatter her sisters. They are living on the Aadahlen farm #126.
