The research here was done by Cora Christofferson from Danish
church records. Since Denmark was one of the last areas of
Europe to adopt Catholicism, the records of births and death are
limited only to the time beginning with these church
records. These churches later became Lutheran. Most of these
records are maintained in local archives and were microfilmed by
the LDS. We still have an incomplete history of this family and I
look forward to information that can complete the lists of the
children.
1713, 1 Oct - The marriage of Jeppe
Povelsen and Anne
Michelsdatter is recorded in the Parish records of Odby,
Refs Herred, Thisted county, Denmark. This if from the
photographed then digital record of the marriages of Danish Family
Search. This record is not indexed but is in the Odby
Parish, 1705-1774, page 72. Odby parish death records begin
on p52 - 61.
The children listed here are from christening records of the LDS
who photographed the parish records. They were listed as
the children of Jep Poulsen and Anne Michelsdatter. Since
there are two Poul and two Karen children listed here I believe
that these earlier children died before the second was
born. This seemed to have been a common practice of
the time.
1715, Aug 9 - Jeppe Poulsen and Ann Michelsdatter has a
daughter Zidsel [Dan Fam Search, Søndbjerg parish,
1705-1808, p. 07]
on the bottom of the same page is her brother.
1716, 19 Oct - Povel born to Jeppe Poulsen and Ann Michelsdatter [Dan Fam Search, Søndbjerg parish, 1705-1808, p. 07]
1716 - Poul, son of Jep Poulsen, dies in Sondbjerg buried at 9
days old.

1720, Nov 6 - Dorothe Povelsdtr is born to Povel Michelsen and Anne Nielsdtr in Sondbjerg parish. [Dan. Fam. Search p7] I have no idea if this is related to this family. [Dan. Fam. Search p7]
1721, Dec 21- Povel Jeppsen is baptized in Odby
Parish. [Dan. Fam. Search p58]
1726 Mette Jeppsdatter is born and baptized at Odby. page. 118
1727 - Karn Jeppsdatter is born and baptized in Odby. page 119
1743- It appears that Jep Poulsen and his wife Anne died within
days of one another. The first record list only Jep Poulsen
but the second records lists Anne as the "frue" or "madam" of
Jep.
1743, 8 July - Jeppe Paulsen's is buried at age 84. on page
66 of Odby parish records.
