William White and James Taylor White made bond for Rebecca Chissum to administratix of the estate of the deceased John Chissum. The William White mentioned in this document would probably J. T. White's brother, if our assumptions are correct on the birth dates, William of J. T. would only be about 12 years old. Even if his son William were of legal age he probably would not be enlisted as an administrator of the estate at a young age. I would say that he needs to be about the same age as James Taylor White due to other related documents. Rebecca Chissum is probably the sister of both William and James since they have had to post a monetary bond for the estate. This requires great trust, and usually, a close family relationship. John Chissu deceased in this document is somewhat of a mystery. Later in 1746 William White is bound over for a stabbing of John Chissum. I assume this later John Chissum is the possible son or step son of Rebecca. [Orange Co., VA Will book 1. on 24 Feb. 1742.] [Gifford White]

24 July 1746. The other children in the list above comes from the records of Mike Nolan. I'm still in the process of confirming this information. James White, who shows up as a companion overseer for a road gang "from Hazle River upwards to the Great Mountains". James Taylor White's own son James, would not be old enough to assume these duties. Is this another brother or the father of J. T.? [Orange Co., VA, Court Order Book 4, 24 July 1746] J
