The dates for this family are very confusing with too many
children of the same name living in the same general
area. There are several records for what are
apparently several different Maren Madsdatter all born and many
died in Thisted. If her birth date is wrong so are her
parents. Please help.
The research here was done by Cora Christofferson from Danish
church records. Since Denmark was one of the last areas of
Europe to adopt Catholicism. Most of these records are maintained
in local archives and were microfilmed by the LDS. We still have
an incomplete history of this family and I look forward to
information that can complete the lists of the children.
1664, Dec 4 - Laurits Madsen is baptized in Gettrup parish and
the son of Mads Larutisen and Maren Madsdatter.
