The original research here was done by Cora Christofferson from Danish church records. Since Denmark was one of the last areas of Europe to adopt Catholicism, the records of births and death are limited only to the time beginning with these church records. These churches later became Lutheran. Most of these records are maintained in local archives and were microfilmed by the LDS. The above family come from LDS film number 45896. We still have an incomplete history of this family and I look forward to information that can complete the lists of the children.

The original documents are available online but there is always difficulty in transcribing these. Else Sørensdatter that I have is also seen transcribed as Else Pedersdatter. Based on children's birth records, especially of 1711 and 1713, I believe she is the daughter of Søren. The flourish that the minister used for the S can easily be mistaken as a P however the record for 1713 is quite clear compared to the other children. "Sorensdatter" is broken apart in the 1711 record. Even the E looks like a C in many records. I'm still looking for the marriage record for Laurids/Laurtiz and Else.

According the Søren Peter Hedegaard's research , Christen Lauritsen (Hedegaard) who married Johanne Poulsdatter, had three children: [Hindsel's archives v.brejl.dk.nr.31]
